About

Narayani began her yoga journey in 2012 while training for her first triathlon. She quickly began to experience the physical, mental, emotional and psychological benefits. She understood that yoga could be a great workout, a stress reducer and a journey of personal development!!

A pilgrimage to India in 2016 sparked more of an interest in yoga philosophy leading her to enroll in yoga teacher training at the Yoga Teachers Training Institute (YTTI). Narayani completed her 200-HR training in December 2016 and completed her 500-HR training in December 2017. She is trained in traditional Hatha yoga and focuses on alignment and breath work (pranayama). She recently completed her Meditation Teacher Training in November 2020 to inspire individuals to take their yoga practice to the next level. She currently teaches at yoga studios, nursing homes and senior centers as well as working with private clients of all ages.

Narayani is an active member of the Yogashakti Ashram (Ma Yoga Shakti International Mission) in Queens, New York, where she practices seva (acts of service) and is under the constant guidance of her guru, Ma Mokshapriya Shakti Saraswari, Ph.D..
